Little Life Update
Welcome back to my blog! It's been a while. For those of you who have been following along for a while (hi mom!), you know I started my blog the summer between high school and college. It was an amazing time of growth, and although my blog fell to the back burner during my college years, starting it had lead to the best college experience I could have asked for. If I never started my blog, I never would have discovered Her Campus, and as you know, my college career would have gone a lot differently.
Here we are, exactly four years later, and it's time for a little update. I am now a college graduate (!!!) with a B.S in Hospitality Management and a minor in mass communications, and it feels so! weird!
As we all know, COVID-19 has turned all of our lives upside down -- including my final semester of college. Although I didn't get to have the proper goodbye to UCF that I thought I would, I am so proud to have had the college experience that I did.
I started UCF as an out-of-state student who knew no one in Orlando except Mickey Mouse. All I knew is that I wanted to work for Disney someday. Well, sophomore year was my time to shine as I took a semester off to do the Disney College Program (my dream since forever), and I quickly learned that I did not want to work for Disney after all. That huge curveball took me down a new path that I instantly fell in love with -- digital marketing. Through my time in Her Campus and beyond, I developed a love for social media and content creation. After some amazing internships at a resort, an agency, and even Orlando's largest destination marketing agency, I was lucky enough to start my first post-grad job at Statusphere -- an influencer marketing agency.
I am now working full-time (from home) and I am loving every moment of it. I am the social media specialist, and this position allows me to create an online community of fellow influencers, design some really fun graphics, and practice my skills in a way that feels super productive and useful. Statusphere is a female-owned start-up and I am so proud to work for a small business in Orlando that was started by a fellow UCF alum and girl boss.

My most recent exciting event in life was the fact that Josh, my boyfriend, and I just moved in together last week! We are coming up on our 4-year anniversary, and having both just graduated together, it was the perfect timing. Unfortunately, the coronavirus had canceled a few of the exciting trips we had planned, so this has been our only fun thing to look forward to for a while.
Our new place is a perfect two-story townhouse that was recently renovated to include new and modern appliances. We have three bedrooms, which has been amazing for us while working from home because it means we each get our own office space, in addition to the master bedroom. However, our favorite part by FAR is the kitchen. It's perfect and cooking dinner every night in there has been so much fun. More pictures to follow!
I'm super excited to bring my blog back to life in the upcoming months. During school, I felt a lot of pressure to post content, but I didn't have the time to make sure it was good content. I'm hoping now with some of my free time post-grad I'll be able to find a home on my little corner of the web again!
Thank you so much for following along, and I hope to share some more posts and stories soon!
